Curtain channels for Rohini homes
Rohini was planned sector by sector, so most homes here are DDA flats, cooperative group housing society apartments and plotted houses. Each needs a slightly different curtain channel. In the older DDA blocks, a concrete beam or deep lintel usually sits right above the window, so we fix a slim aluminium channel to the underside of the beam. The curtain then starts at the highest point, hides the lintel and falls straight to the floor, which makes rooms with 9-foot ceilings look noticeably taller.
Society flats in the newer sectors often have false ceilings in the living room and wide sliding doors to the balcony. Here a ceiling channel, or a recessed pocket in the false ceiling, keeps the curtain line clean, and a double channel carries a sheer for the day and a blackout curtain for the night. Plotted houses tend to have tall drawing-room windows and stairwells, where a motorised curtain track saves climbing ladders.
Aluminium or PVC?
For most Rohini windows we recommend aluminium. It stays straight across wide living-room windows, carries heavy blackout curtains without sagging and glides smoothly for years. PVC channels are fine for light sheers in a small spare room. Our aluminium curtain channel guide explains the profiles and finishes.
How a Rohini installation works
We visit, measure every window and check the ceiling, beams, grills and any split AC above the window. Channels are cut to your exact width, extended past the frame so curtains stack off the glass, and fixed into solid concrete. Most flats are done in a single day, scheduled within your society's work hours.

How We Install Curtain Channels
- 1
Window & ceiling assessment
We measure window width, ceiling type and curtain layering needs (sheer, blackout or both) to recommend single, double or triple-track configuration.
- 2
Manual or motorised selection
Choose manual glide tracks for everyday rooms or motorised, app/voice-controlled tracks for large, double-height or hard-to-reach windows.
- 3
Track fabrication & fitting-out
Tracks are cut to your exact window width and fitted with gliders, motors or manual cords and brackets ahead of installation.
- 4
Mounting & calibration
Our crew mounts the track to ceiling or wall, wires and calibrates motorised units, and tests smooth, silent operation before handover.
